My destiny from
the start.

Kristin Tucker – Founder & Owner
I began practicing Pilates while living in Boulder, Colorado and quickly noticed its positive impact on my long-distance running. I felt stronger during my training and less fatigued after my races.
After a neck injury, Pilates was at the forefront of my recovery programme. A pain free movement programme was introduced and within a few months I was back to my normal daily routine. With consistent practice, I have been able to manage my flare-ups and keep my neck and spine feeling healthy and strong.
After my studies, I wanted to explore living outside the United States and headed east. Towards the end of my travels in Southeast Asia I found myself in New Zealand and never left. Within my first week of arriving, I enrolled in and completed my first Pilates teacher training programme. I’ve been fortunate to train with several different Pilates educators becoming certified in Mat, Mixed Equipment (including reformer) and Pre and Postnatal.
My teaching style is encouraging, attentive and rooted in a belief that movement is a lifelong journey. The classes are dynamic and educational for clients with a focus on ways to efficiently maximise their movement potential. I believe that exploring movement to support your daily functions can lead to a happier and healthier quality of life.

Elana Bos – Yoga Instructor

Elana began practicing Ashtanga Yoga twelve years ago for practical reasons: to be able to unroll her mat anywhere, anytime and practice independently. Through synchronizing breath with movement and approaching stillness through skilful action, she continues to find a deepening sense of freedom.
“Ashtanga Yoga is 99% practice, 1% theory” – Pattabhi Jois (founder of Ashtanga Yoga).
After a fulfilling year teaching LED classes, private sessions, and studio groups in the Netherlands, Elana moved to New Zealand, where she committed to daily Mysore-style practice. Relocating to Waiheke Island and becoming a mother reshaped her practice rhythm. Without the structure for full daily sessions, she adapted her practice – keeping the essence of Ashtanga alive while enriching her path with Yin Yoga.
She invites students to meet themselves on the mat without expectation – and in turn, experience everything.

Physiotherapy
A holistic approach
Physiotherapy and Pilates work hand-in-hand to support long-term recovery, movement efficiency and injury prevention. Physiotherapy addresses pain, dysfunction and rehabilitation, while Pilates compliments this by building core strength, improving posture and enhancing body awareness. When combined, they offer a holistic approach to healing.

FAQ
What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates offers low-impact, resistance-based exercises performed on a spring loaded reformer machine. The springs can provide assistance and/or added challenge while exercising. This is a great way to achieve strength training, control, mobility and flexibility.
How is Reformer Pilates different to Mat Pilates?
Both follow the same principles, but reformers provide assistance and resistance from the springs, while Mat Pilates uses just your body weight. Both are effective and suitable for all levels.

How often should I attend Pilates?
Every client’s situation will be depend. However, “the CDC recommends two days of strength training each week — and Pilates fits the bill. You’ll see benefits with one or two sessions, but three times a week is the sweet spot.”
